TIPS ON HOW TO MAKE A SUCCESSFUL PLAN

Step 1

Break your pledge into small achievable targets or new habits that will enable you to acheive your Pledge (eg. I will run twice a week…).

Step 2

Assign timings to each of these targets that take you to your deadline (eg. Work backwards from your goal so that every 2 weeks you have gradually increased the total time or distance of your runs).

Step 3

Set yourself a digital reminder to keep you on track and to encourage you to keep going (eg. When planning write down your targets and set future calendar reminders to remind you of where you hoped to be in acheiving your Pledge by that date).

Step 4

Commit to your Pledge by sharing with friends/a buddy who will hold you accountable and support your targets.

Step 5

Reward your achievments along the journey, however small they seem.
